Marlyn Marie Petersen, 87, of rural Washburn Illinois, died on April 14, 2024 at OSF St Francis Medical Center in Peoria Illinois. Born on October 26, 1936 in rural Magnolia Township Illinois to the late Ivan and Maria (Siegman) Lindstrom, she married Marion Petersen on August 6, 1956 in Varna. Marion died on November 9, 1989.
Marlyn is also survived by her son Jerry Petersen of Washburn; daughter Denise (Christopher) Wilson of Canton; Sister Francis (Lloyd) Nevitt of Lacon; grandson Joseph Hattan of Germantown Hills; granddaughter Ashley (Tyler) Fuller of Florhome Florida; and great grandchildren Zachary, Camryn and Maverick. She was also preceded in death by her son Steve Petersen and Sisters Louise Kline & Shirley Powers.
Marlyn graduated from Mid-County High School in 1954 and was an employee at Bell's Bakery. While married, she was a farm Wife and later took classes at ICC to be a CNA. She worked at Dr. Cusack's office in Peoria and at the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home,
