Scheri L. Wigand, age 75, of Lacon, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024, at Carle Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. Scheri was born on August 25, 1948, in Cambria, Illinois, to the late John Herbert and Elnora "Billy" (Hopkins) Lester. A 1966 graduate of Washington High School, Scheri's life was filled with remarkable energy and an infectious personality that brightened every room she entered. Her spirit was uniquely caring and fun-loving, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. On January 6, 1995, Scheri married the love of her life, Larry Wigand, in an intimate ceremony at their home in Lacon. Larry survives her, along with her cherished family: her son Michael (Shannon) McCann of Peoria; her daughter Apryl (Steve) Plier of Morton, Illinois; her stepson Bryson (Sarah) Wigand of Lacon; her sister Vicky (Steve) Day of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and her brothers Jeff Lester of Peoria and Jim Lester of Wyoming, Illinois.
