She was born in Streator, IL, on May 3, 1947, to John and Gladys Eigenbrod Foster. She married Edward Schumacher on February 27, 1971, in the Wenona Presbyterian Church. They celebrated 53 years together, most of the time living in LaRose, Illinois. Judy graduated from Wenona High School in the Class of 1965. Judy loved school, fast cars, and Elvis Presley. She worked in bookkeeping and office administrator positions all her life, which included Foster Motor Sales, Inc. in Wenona, Mid-West Sand & Gravel in LaRose, and Countyline Tool in Washburn, until her retirement. Judy was a lifetime member of The Wenona Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school when she was younger and enjoyed attending church services with her sister Linda until the church's closure.
