Marilyn Elizabeth Birdsell, 89, of Lacon Illinois, died on December 18 at her residence, surrounded by her family. Born to the late Tracy and Olive "Ollie" (Malone) Jason, she married Robert Birdsell on July 17, 1955 in Wenona Illinois. Bob died on November 6, 2013. Surviving are her children Mike (Kay) Bell of Sheffield Illinois, Peggy (Gary) Pfeiffer of Lacon, Esther Golden of Washburn Illinois; brother Ray (Janet) Jason of Pekin; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by 7 siblings. Along with being a farm wife on the farm that they lived on and where they raised their children, Marilyn was a caregiver for many folks in the Lacon area over the years. Helping take care of them as they aged or through injury. She also enjoyed square dancing with Bob, softball, and baking. Graveside services will be held on December 28th at 1pm at the Jason Cemetery outside of Lacon. Memorials can be made to Great Oaks Campground, which
