Barbara Rea Herridge, 91 of Lacon Illinois, died on January 12, 2025 at The Arc of Chillicothe. Born on September 8, 1933, in Williamsville, Illinois to the late Noble and Pernia (Leslie) Sturgeon, she was married to Emery G. Herridge at the Baptist Church in Chillicothe, on June 29, 1952. Emery passed away on July 26, 2000.
Barbara was a housewife and later became a beautician in 1974.
She was always a coordinated lady from head to toe. Barb and Emery were always known to be the first and last on the dance floor.
Surviving is her son Dennis (Julie) Herridge of Lacon & daughter Michelle (Wayne) Hastings of Henry; sister Marge Neff of Lacon; grandchildren Blair, Alicia, Ashley & Nathan; and seven Great Grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers William and Richard Sturgeon.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Arc of Chillicothe and Traditions Hospice for all of their care and compassion shown to Barb.
