Jay W Dodd, 70, of Henry Illinois, formerly Mesa Arizona, died on March 12, 2025 at OSF Saint Clare Hospital in Princeton Illinois. Born in Tucson, Arizona on February 7, 1955 to the late Jesse and Geneva (Gentry) Dodd, Jay joined the military and served his country for over 20 years, retiring from active duty. Jay is survived by his children, Shanna (Tad) Bogner of Tiskilwa Illinois, Jay Dodd of Lasalle Illinois, Peter (Morgan) Dodd of Spring Valley; mother Geneva Wood of Mesa Arizona; brother Dale Dodd of Mesa; nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father Jesse Dodd. after over 20 years in the military Jay developed a strong love for the Lord. He enjoyed watching live church on YouTube and other platforms. He also enjoyed watching old television shows like Gomer Pyle and Rat Patrol on TV. Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services at this time.
